I have made a clean install of RG2.3 (I mean uninstall RG2.2 and run the full 2.3 installer).

After the update :
- The standalone application no longer loads the previously selected guitar
- In existing projects, no guitar is loaded and the message "Guitars not found!" is now displayed

I'm back to version 2.2, all is working again.

I guess there is a bug in version 2.3.

I guess the guitar library was not copied during the process. Don't know what could have gone wrong, because the library installation requires user action (to select the sample rate to be installed).

In the mean time you can upgrade 2.2 to 2.3 instead of a clean install and see what happens.

Thanks for the reply.

With the updater, I've got the same problem.
The sound library is correctly installed, because all sounds are selectable.
I e-mailed the support about this issue.

As far, MusicLab cannot reproduce this issue.

Does anybody have a similar problem ?
- RealGuitar 2.3 (without pattern library)
- Windows XP SP2 or SP3

The standalone version does not remember the last selected guitar sound.
At each startup, the message "-- select guitar --" is displayed, although all guitar sounds are available.

The plug-in version does not load the guitar sound stored in the host project (Acid Pro 4 here) and always displays "-- guitars not found! --", although the sounds are available.

All worked fine in version 2.2.1.

Any feedback is welcome.
Thanks.

Message received from Konstantin:
"We were able to recreate your issue and will fix it in the next build".

That's good news.

I realized I hadn't visited MusicLab in a while to check for updates and so decided to update my RG2l (RealGuitar v2.2.1) with "RealGuitar 2.xL to 2.3L Updater (Mac)" in the "Releases" section.

I don't know if I should've donwloaded the "
RealGuitar 2.3L Mac Installer" before the updated.

As of now, the stand-alone states "guitars not found" and my Pro Tools has stopped working as well (the application opens, but no files open; the app quits). Would there happen to be a connection?

By the way, this is my system: Macbook OS 10.4.9, PRO TOOLS LE 7.4

Hope you can help me!

Thanks and regards,
Gino[/quote]

UPDATED POST: My Pro Tools worked fine after a reboot; HOWEVER, "Guitars not found" notice still appears in RealGuitar interface, whether opened in Pro Tools or in Stand-alone mode. I had tried going through the "moving of samples to external hard drive" instructions in the FAQ (the StgMan, Source Bank File, etc. process) in hopes of the instruments reappearing, but still I was without luck.

I would now simply just want to revert to version 2.2.1 by un-doing the 2.3L update (is that possible?) so as to stay safe since I've already got lots of project files in which I have used RealGuitar, and I fear that uninstalling and re-installing RealGuitar may render my existing RealGuitar-related projects useless (ooh, all those settings and all). Could someone kindly help, please? I'm at my wit's end. thank you again. Crying or Very sad
