|
|
|
Hi, i'm new here
i've been reading some good reviews about realguitar 2, but then heard about the upcoming Electric edition which i'm extremly anxious to see and test, cause it seems to be what i've been looking for years.
I have some questions:
1. How much will it cost. (approx)
2. When will it come out. (approx)
3. Will there be a demo to test it, if yes when (approx)
4. Will the guitars come in types of expansion....just like refills.....
5. will there be a patch to make RealGuitar 2 go into an electric edition (clean guitar)
Thank you very much |

Jason,
RG Electric version will be surely released.
Your questions:
1. Around RealGuitar acoustic
2. Planning at 3Q 2006
3. Thinking about demo
4. Planning that
5. RG el. is a separate product, but there will be discounts for RG ac. users

Hi kevvvvv
How do the Prominy Electric Guitars stack up? I'm sure we'd all be interested in your thoughts. What do you see as its high points and limitations? Would you still have bought it if you knew what you know now?
Cheers,

You're gonna laugh when you hear this, but ...
I've not yet used Prominy
For electric guitars, Colossus has a great selection, and I've been stuck on them. Very satisfying sounds (but of course none of the interactivity that we expect RGE will bring).
For the interested, Colossus has some great old electric guitars that sound really warm - a big change from the usual clean strat/les paul
And Colossus has one of those red Rickenbacker piano wire basses
I once used to play one once, and they are so sensual. They ooze feeling, yet thrill with sharp vibrancy.
Meanwhile I must look closer at Prominy.
Part of the reason I haven't got round to it is that I went off Kontakt for quite a while as it was such a pig to use.
But since Kontakt 2.1 has come out I've found it greatly improved for workflow, ergonomics, mixing and cpu/disk usage.
So I really must go and test Prominy |

Will the Electric version be all amplified samples?
I ask because it would seem to me a good idea to have unamplified samples that one could run through an amp plug-in such as AmpFarm, Guitar Rig, Amplitube or whatever.
An unamplified Strat, Les Paul, Tele, and ES-335 would, it seems to me, really be the way to go.
What do others think? |

I agree! I'd like to be able to put this through Guitar Rig and others too.
